Arrival of baby dinosaurs in the Stars Room!
4th Mar 2026
Today the children were excited to discover some mysterious eggs had been left in our classroom!
After lots of discussion and imaginative thinking, they decided it must be a dinosaur egg made from ice. We talked about different ways we could help free the baby dinosaur and predicted what might happen if we left the egg in the sun or kept it in the cold, encouraging fantastic conversation and reasoning skills.
The children then used a range of tools to carefully chip away at the ice, developing their fine motor skills.
They were thrilled to discover that adding salt helped the ice melt more quickly, and successfully rescued the baby dinosaurs!
