Year 4 - WW2 topic work

20th Apr 2026

Over the past few weeks, our P4 class has been learning all about World War 2 in fun and creative ways. We built our own shelters to see how people stayed safe, made posters to support the war effort, and created weekly ration sheets which showed us how little food people had. We also spent time in the library finding interesting facts and sharing them with each other. One of our favourite parts was building a LEGO model of the Belfast Blitz, which helped us understand what happened in our local area.

We learned a lot about what life was like during the war and how people worked together to get through it. It has been a really fun topic and we have all enjoyed it!
